Now the bulk of the work is done, I’ve consolidated my novel for the year into a single handy PDF file, and even come up with a title, how organised!

I’ve also done a bit of editing, corrected names, titled the chapters and such, so the whole thing might even make sense now.

I thought the table of contents looked bare without a title, so I’ve come up with the working title "Table for 22", for reasons I won’t divulge as they’d probably bore you.

Any and all feedback is welcome. I’m sure there are plenty of typos, mistakes and mysteriously gender-switching restaurant staff to be found.

Well, the loose ends are tied, the plot points resolved and another cliche meaning exactly the same thing. In other words, the final chapter is complete!

Its taken me a bit longer than I would have liked, but I’ve finally got the nineteenth and final chapter of my novel finished.

Now I just have to start on the editing process. That’ll probably take me another year. Enjoy!

Ok, so I’m running late again. But on the plus side, I’ve hit the minimum word count!

Down to the last two months of the year, and I’ve finally got the penultimate chapter finished! Just one more chapter to go, and a heapload of editing, and I can tick this resolution off.

In this chapter, Ben’s friendship with Vanessa takes an interesting turn. Although not quite in the way that certain of my friends have been petitioning me for.

Beginning to pick up the pace a little, I’m only a week and a half late with chapter seventeen.

I’m going to have to get back on track a little over the next few months. I’m tantalisingly close to my minimum word count, but I’ve got at least two more chapters worth of story in the offing and more editing than I care to think about before the end of the year. But I’ll get there in the end!

Late again, but hopefully its worth the wait. Chapter 16 is online!

I’m still faffing about with flat decorating, and successfully managed to get exactly no writing done while I was on holiday. But I got there in the end. Very close to the minimum word count now, and the way things are panning out, I think that in 3 or 4 more chapters, I can just about wrap everything up! Then its onto the editing, and I’m told its going to need a lot of that!

Hugely late with this one, but I’ve finally got chapter 15 finished!

So moving kinda got in the way, and I’m over a month late with this chapter, but I’m well on track to make the 50,000 minimum, so I’m still confident I can complete this resolution. I’m off on a relaxing holiday up north this week, so might be able to get a head start on chapter 16. Fingers crossed!

I’ve finally got my novel into Chapter 11! Not the bankruptcy one, the other one.

This chapter also marks me passing the halfway point in terms of word-count, and before the mid-point of the year. I should probably get the plot progressing, or I’ll run out of chapters to tie up those loose ends…I’ve not even loosened most of them yet!
